Hello everyone!

June have just ended and there were a lot of fantastic artworks in our gallery! Here are some of our favourites from this month :)

As always, we'll choose up to 6 arts to keep the journal clean. I'm reminding you that it's totally subjective choice.
If you have your own
favourites from current month, you can share with us in the comments! ^^
There are 6 top pieces and 10 more that we considered to put in top 6, but in the end we decided to choose something else.

Monthly feature - June 2016

Windy City by rasty690

I'm totally impressed with amount of details here - we can see almost every single rock, every window in the castle, armour details on the knight statue, every wave on the lake... and so on. The longer you look at it, the more you can see. Fantastic job!

:iconbabcinypasztet:
In my opinion at first glance this picture is a little bit boring, the theme is a little bit overused, that's propably wh it looks familiar to me. Tho I am not saying it's a bad picture, the amount of detail is stunning, and the location is very interesting. Maybe because of my lack interest into architecture. But I guess the whole scenery and those 2 little characters make the picture a little bit more interesting than I thought when you look longer at it.

I completely adore the atmosphere of mysterious forest with mystical ghost creatures. At the same time the feel of this image is very calm and peaceful - even if this creature seems really huge, there's no reason to be afraid of it. Also we can adore a great job on details here - there's a lot of them!

:iconbabcinypasztet:
This painting reminds me of an old-styled cartoon boxart. Maybe because of the white giant and the textures used... But when I look at the little person on the right... She's drawn in a very modern style. At least she looks so lol. The whole thing have spicen up this image in my opinion. Also, it gave me a lot more questions to answer :D

[GBF]Sara by Ecens

:iconkanahaniart:
I totally love this image - it's pretty dynamic, colors are warm and well put together, there are some nice contrasts in right places and the style is very pleasant to look at. Definitely one of my absolute favourites

:iconbabcinypasztet:
I really like the golden color scheme as much as I like the anime style in this picture. The character is very cute, but also very powerful for what we can see. I like the design of both the girl and the creature she summons I assume? She reminds me of MikeInel's Mabel somehow?? Maybe because of the style.

BALKI by Seven-teenth

I really like the dark tone of the picture, it always fits a rainy night town scenery. My favourite. I like the amount of details, in some places there is a lot of them and in other -not. But that's okay as for me, it propably looks better this way.

:iconkanahaniart:
This artist has a lot of atmospheric, beautiful pieces - this one isn't an exception. I love the overall darkness and really visible contrasts created with lights. This piece feels kind of dramatic and the character in it somehow sad and forsaken. It definitely has a lot of feelings in it.

Abyss by DawidZdobylak

:iconbabcinypasztet:
I see that illuminati sign <-< Anyway I really admire the art of this artist, I've been observing it for a while. I'd say the torso theme is kind of characteristic for Dawid, because I've seen it quite a lot of times in his art. And everytime it fascinates me, ex. I really like the concept and unique color scheme of this one.

:iconkanahaniart:
Dawid's artwork is truly interesting - there're no beautiful landscapes wih stunning amount of details or realistic people - just a simple form with a lot of symbolics. Sometimes makes me wonder what the artist meant. I like when art isn't just for illustrating, but also makes us think about it.

Lake of the lady... by qaxtx

:iconbabcinypasztet:
I love the color scheme and the way the warm colors affects the cold ones. Also the pastel tone makes it look very soft and smooth. The way the clouds reflect in the water gives us a feeling, that we're looking at a burning city located in clouds. Beautiful - but tragic, huh.

:iconkanahaniart:
I like the idea of connecting both day and night shots of the city. It gave us a pretty interesting result of mentioned before burning city. :)

When I look at it again now I see that there's something that looks like a fog. Cool idea with that ;)
